Much Cooler Weather Has Arrived ...
A strong dry cold front passed through the region yesterday morning and is ushering in much cooler air along with a stiff NE breeze. Highs over the weekend will be in the mid 60s and lows in the mid 40s inland to the lower 50s along the coast. The cool and breezy weather will persist for all of next week with mostly clear skies with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the lower 50s.
Tropical Weather:
There is a GALE CENTER developing off the coast of North Carolina and it will drift about in that region for several days. This will continue to funnel brisk NE winds along the SE coast for several days. Currently, this is NON-TROPICAL in nature.
The drought conditions have improved dramatically with those periods of rain we've been receiving. (See Drought Maps).
